Broken Wheat Patty

Ingredients:

  • Broken wheat (Dalia)
  • Paneer (grated)
  • vegetables (Carrots, Potato, Capsicum, Corn etc. grated)
  • Chopped Onion
  • Garlic finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Wheat flour/Bread crumbs
  • Oil

Method:

  • Take 1 cup of water for ½ cup of broken wheat and bring to a boil.
  • After couple of minutes switch off and keep it covered for 5 minutes. The broken wheat will get cooked with the steam.
  • Take all these raw vegetables in a mixing bowl
  • Add the cooked broken wheat, grated paneer, chilli sauce to this.
  • Mix it well.
  • Add some bread crumbs or plain wheat flour and mix.
  • Check for seasoning and adjust if needed.
  • Take small portions of the mixture and shape it into cutlets.
  • Heat the pan & put oil in it.
  • Place the cutlets & cook them till it becomes golden brown.
  • Serve them with green chutney.
